About: Cash 4 Life a US Multi-State lottery that is played in 4 states, New Jersey New York, Pennsylvania, and Virginia.

Format: Cash 4 Life requires a player to make 2 choices: (1) Pick 5 numbers out of a set of 60 white balls; and (2) Pick 1 Cashball from a set of 4 red balls. If the player picks the same numbers as those that are drawn in the next drawing, the player wins the Jackpot prize. Smaller prizes are awarded for other combinations.

Class: Cash 4 Life is a Mid-size Lottery. We classify it as such because its Jackpot Parity is approximately $27.8 million, which is over $10 million and less than $100 million.

Prizes: The minimum Cash 4 Life jackpot prize is replace 1, and the 2nd place prize is guarenteed to be $1 million. Both of these prizes will be paid on a pari-mutuel basis and these will be paid to the winner for life, (or for a minimum period of 20 years, which ever is longer). Both 1st and 2nd place prizes may be paid either as a annuity or as a discounted cash value. All other cash prizes are predefined as well and paid as a lump sum as summarized in the table above. The jackpot and 2nd place prizes are fixed, and will not be increased.

Combinations: In the Cash 4 Life lottery, there are a total of replace 1 combinations.

Winners: Of these, there are replace 8 winning combinations. This represents replace 2 of the combinations. The overall odds of having a winning combination is replace 4 to 1 (the lower the better).

Losers: There are replace 9 losing Cash 4 Life combinations. This is replace 3 of the combinations. The overall odds of having a losing combination is replace 4 to 1 (the higher the better; because as this number gets closer to 1, nearly every ticket is a loser.
